Today I present you with a P2P original made in my very own NutriBullet.
You know, I just cannot stop raving about my beautiful and ever so helpful NutriBullet. Making and recreating drinks and smoothies has become a breeze. It’s affordable, light, compact and easy to use and care for; well what more can one ask for. No, I have not been paid to say all this, they are completely my opinions.
Wow, I got so carried away talking about the NutriBullet that I haven’t even mentioned what I made yet. I would like to share with you my recipe of Kiwi Ginger Mint smoothie. I initially thought of naming this drink Kiw-ea Smoothie because Kiwi was the Star ingredient and I used green tea (from 2 tea bags) as the liquid medium here.
So Kiwi+ Tea= Kiw-ea! But then that just complicates things, so I just stuck with the “standard” naming.
It’s a really healthy, smooth drink with the subtle crunch of the Kiwi seeds. If you don’t like the crunch you can definitely go ahead and strain the seeds out.
I used a mix of the regular Kiwis and the Golden Kiwis. The Golden Kiwis are yellow on the inside and are much sweeter. You can totally stick to any one kind. If you are using the regular one’s, just make sure they’re not too sour.
This drink takes literally just 5 min to put together. The Ginger and Mint adds a great Kick to the drink. If you’d like to have it sweeter, go ahead and add some Stevia or Honey.
Now it doesn’t make sense that we spend more than 5 min to read about something that takes 5 min to put together does it?
Going straight into the recipe then!
- 5 Kiwis (3 Regular Kiwis and 2 Golden Kiwis)
- One piece (about 10 gms) of Ginger
- 7-8 Mint leaves
- 1.5 Tbsps freshly squeezed lemon
- 1.5 Cups of freshly brewed green tea
- Honey/Stevia for sweetness, to taste
- Couple Ice cubes
- Place all the above ingredients into your blender and blend for 10 sec.
- Pour into a serving glass and garnish with a slice of kiwi fruit, if desired.
